Playing dice is the perfect tool to explain the basic concept of probability in a statistics class. It has something to do with chances...

What is the probability that when you throw a dice, it will give you a six? a one? or a two?

Well, in a basic statistics class, you will learn to compute these probabilities or chances.... Do you know these days, there are calculators that will give you the probability of dying given you have a certain disease?

Doctors can predict if a patient will live or die... but not with 100% certainty... that's one rule in statistics... given the uncertainty or randomness of events...

But as a person with great faith, i think statistics would not prevent me with saying that 100% confident that GOD is with me, for me and not against me.

After all, GOD does not play dice with the universe!

He created us for a purpose therefore will make sure that each one of us will achieve that purpose!

GOD is definitely not a gambler, GOD does not play dice with the universe!

This is a very comforting verse for me. The Lord God really knows our needs, that even if we we are just thinking of our woes, He already knows. "We become what we think about!" - This has been my new motto ... Others say that our mind is so powerful that whatever you are thinking about yourself actually project into other people's minds. If you think that your are ugly, then people will see you as an ugly person, but if you feel that you are pretty/handsome/beautiful, then others will see you as such.

"We become what we think about!" - I have to will my mind to remember this motto everytime I have a lecture. I have to think hard, and imagine myself talking, using the English language fluently and that the listeners are happily listening ... (I hate talking in front of people, my goodness, having stage fright is one of my baggages eversince i can remember, i hate talking to people I don't even know....) Unfortunately, I think, it works for only about 50% of the students... hayyy, i guess have to acquire more mind power to be able to influence all of my listeners!
