A happy father's day!

Yesterday, June 15 was Father's Day. It was a memorable one, not because it was Ina's first movie outing, but because i genuinely felt very happy and fulfilled. It was not mother's day, it was father's day, I was happy because the hubby blurted out "Know what mama, am really happy today, i cant explain it, but i am happy"...
That really made my day, considering that i didn't have a gift nor planned anything on that day...
Somehow, his happiness also made me happy...
Somehow, I believe that I contributed to that happiness...
and hopefully that happiness will be always present no matter what :)

Biostatisticians as bloggers

Today, i came across a biostatistician blogger... it is amusing how he writes about his craft... i actually wish that i am like him, very able and seem happy, and contented with his chosen profession. I am supposed to be like that, need to be like that. Browsing his blog entries make me insecure actually, with my work... because all i have been doing are all applications in observational studies, i'm a little bit rusty with regards to applications in clinical trials... anyways, i hope someday i would be able to post just like this biostatistician blogger :)

God does not play dice with the universe -- Einstein

Do you believe Einstein's statement: " God does not play dice with the universe!"...

Playing dice is the perfect tool to explain the basic concept of probability in a statistics class. It has something to do with chances...

What is the probability that when you throw a dice, it will give you a six? a one? or a two?

Well, in a basic statistics class, you will learn to compute these probabilities or chances.... Do you know these days, there are calculators that will give you the probability of dying given you have a certain disease?

Doctors can predict if a patient will live or die... but not with 100% certainty... that's one rule in statistics... given the uncertainty or randomness of events...

But as a person with great faith, i think statistics would not prevent me with saying that 100% confident that GOD is with me, for me and not against me.

After all, GOD does not play dice with the universe!

He created us for a purpose therefore will make sure that each one of us will achieve that purpose!

GOD is definitely not a gambler, GOD does not play dice with the universe!

Quotable Quotes

I stumbled upon this verse : Isaiah 65:24.. Before they call I will answer, while they are still speaking I will hear.

This is a very comforting verse for me. The Lord God really knows our needs, that even if we we are just thinking of our woes, He already knows. And HE will definitely have solutions at hand, we just need to really pray and ask.... and also be aware of HIS constant presence with what's happening around our lives.

Hope others will also find comfort with HIS quotable quotes.
